Rachel Jay finds solace in the heartfelt expression of her inner world through music. Her lyrics often reflect a hopeful perspective on her life’s journey, weaving tales of struggle with lighthearted optimism. Rachel’s musical style is predominately inspired by acoustic folk and jazz. She is often likened to classic singer/songwriters like Joni Mitchell, Eva Cassidy and Norah Jones. What is most notable about Rachel is her smooth, honey like voice which carries her vulnerable melodies the extra mile and creates a captivating and heartfelt experience for audiences.

Beyond her original compositions, Rachel makes a living as a gigging musician, performing a blend of covers and originals at resorts, restaurants, weddings, and music venues around San Diego. Through her performances, she aims to connect with her audience on a deeply personal level.
